MaterChef is the name of a BBC television cookery game show in the Uk. Different amateur chefs compete against each other in setting up menus and cooking and presenting them. Judges decide who the winner of each round it. The top chef of the series walks away with the title of “Masterchef.”
For many finalists the television series opened a world of opportunities. Some opened restaurants, became chef-teachers, wrote recipe books or started working with celebrity chefs. Many entered formal culinary training on completion of the MasterChef series.
